There is no particular reason for, but the script of the fountain pen has been blessed with this attribute. There is however a few disadvantage also and the most important one is regarding the kind of paper that has to be used while writing with a fountain pen. While a ballpoint pen can write upon any surface so the name it normally takes a lot to choose the proper kind of paper to write with a fountain pen on. There are also other problems as blotting of ink and spillage. But the second difficulty can be curbed with constant practice. People also complain about the speed of writing with a fountain pen, which is rather slow as compared to other pens. Overlooking the other facts, fountain pen writing can be a real asset if one were looking at neat and orderly work.
