Fountain has a very brightening history. It is the symbol of enrichment of culture and education. A fountain pen can energize a young person to write his own biography. It has a glorious performance track record.  The journey of fountain pen started a long way back to 10th century when the society was under the full glare of war and struggle.  At that time the society was manly formed on the tectonic of religious dogmas and necromancy. People had unconditional faith in  religion and providential interposition .  So they used to eulogize the glories of God. Now, for this particular reason, fountain pens were used by monastic scholars and the elite class. General persons were still out of the stream of the usage of fountain pens due to tremendous restriction on the generalization of the education.

However, in 1884 with the invention of the new version of the fountain pens by Waterman, people took the advantage of this new brands which were designed with modern capillary mechanism of the flow of ink through the self reservoir system. There was no urgency of letting the pen nib dip into the inkpot to suck ink.  People felt comfortable to write without any obstruction or scratch. In fact through various sorts of techniques fountain pens are filled. These mechanisms include levers, buttons, pistons, and compressed bulbs. Lever-fillers are designed with a small size lever being installed into the side of the pen. The ink pouch compresses with the pull of the lever.

The next method starts with the placing of the nib into the inkpot the pouch tends to reinflate with the closure of the lever.  Button fillers are built with a button on the ending portion of the pen. The deflation of the sac is conducted by giving pressure on the button. This is the short description of the filling mechanism by which the whole capillary process of the release of ink is completed.
